Recommended Replacement Trailer Jack for a Snow Mobile Enclosed Trailer

Updated 08/29/2024 | Published 08/25/2024

Question:

I have a broken trailer jack on a large enclosed snow mobile trailer. It has a plate welded on the side of the hitch that the jack is bolted to. I would need to replace the trailer jack with another that bolts to the frame. My center to center bolt pattern is 5 1/2inch horizonal and 4 1/2 vertical. Will this jack work? Is there a standard for bolt patterns?

Roger, from my understanding 3" center to center is considered the standard and about 99 percent of A-frame jacks are going to follow this standard.

With that said, the Trailer Valet JXS Drill Powered Drop Leg Trailer Jack w/ Footplate # TV36FR you're looking at will work with your trailer as long as the frame is not larger than 6 1/2" tall x 6" wide. You'll also need to make sure you have at least 5" of clearance along the frame.

Hi Bryce Your solution is for a clamped A frame jack. My jack is bolted to the frame thru holes in two rails that are welded to the frame. I don't have a center section that will accomodate the short rails necessary to clamp the jack on. I have pictures, but don't see a way to attach them.

@RogerK Gotcha Roger, it looks like you'd be needing something like the Lippert Electric Trailer Jack # LC285318 then but with a 5 1/2" x 4 1/2" mounting flange, which we do not have anything that'd fit those holes, unfortunately.
