Question:
Morning - Im picking up an older 4x6 Leonard enclosed trailer today from a buddy. It currently does not have fenders. Tires are the standard 13 trailer tires. Looking at the fenders you sell, which would you recommend? As they arent weight bearing, Im guessing I can just attach them directly using stainless self tapping bolts. Im debating between the simple fenders or he ones with the backing plate.

Good morning, Ben!
To mount trailer fenders you'll want to use mounting brackets like the Kit # CE26098G-2 or you can have them welded to your trailer.
Then, as far as the style goes, the backing plate model # HP97FR basically offers an extra level of prevention protection for your trailer frame as opposed to the non-backing plate model # HP69VR. If the place where you're installing the fender already has a type of wall that will protect the frame or trailer interior from road debris then you'll be fine with the standard model.

Hey Ben, how did things go getting those fenders mounted on your Leonard trailer? Did the backing plate style give you the protection you were hoping for? Your update could make it easier for the next person working on a similar trailer.
