Looking For Replacement Fenders For Trailex Aluminum Trailer With 8" Wheels

Updated 10/07/2026 | Published 10/06/2026

Question:

@jesse Here are the measurements for my Trailex trailer in the photos. I don’t need heavy duty fenders - plastic like the originals would be fine. Thanks again.

Hey Steve, welcome back, and thanks for the pictures. It looks like you actually have 8" wheels. It looks like the tire itself is 15" in diameter, but the wheels are 8". In that case, size-wise I do like the Tie Down Plastic Fender for 8" to 12" Wheels # TD32VR. Like you said before though, it isn't going to line up perfectly with the brackets on your trailer, so you'll have to get creative coming up with a way to attach them. You might be able to bolt them on using the backing plate or use a bracket like part # CE26061G-2.

Thank, Jesse. Looks like I can make those work. I think you’re right about this possibly being helpful to others. The guy at Trailex told me they sold over 100,000 of these before they moved to a new model in 2010. Given that the original plastic fenders are at least 16 years old now they’re ought to be a market for replacements. Maybe even enough for one of your suppliers to make a specific replacement for them?
