Solution for 2014 Chevy Silverado OEM Brake Controller Not Compatible with EOH Actuator

I have a 2014 Silverado Diesel 2500 HD. When I pull a utility trailer the trailer breaks work fine but when I pull my 2022 5th wheel camper the truck does not work the electric hydraulic breaks on the camper. I’m get the proper voltage output when I check the plug on my truck. Where do I start to solve this issue?

Hey Phillip, this is a pretty common problem as the OEM brake controllers don't always like to work well with electric over hydraulic actuators. The problem is that the brake controller is looking for the amperage draw of brake magnets and the EOH actuators just don't have them so they either don't work at all or they show no trailer connection.
So one solution is to bypass the OEM controller with an aftermarket one like the P2 part # 90885 which has a hydraulic mode or if you get me the brand of your actuator I can see if there's an adapter available. For example if you have a Hydrastar actuator you'd want the part # HBA-CAM for an adapter.
