Parts Needed To Mount A Demco Recon Slider Hitch In The Bed Of A 2013 Ford F-350

I purchaed a 2013 Ford F-350 Super Duty Demco Recon 5th wheel hits w/ slider from you to fit into a pickup that I was borrowing from a friend. I would now like to put this same hitch into another pickup truck. Does this new truck need to have the puck system already installed or can this hitch be installed into any Ford pickup truck? My local hitch installer is telling me that the puck system is done in the factory level and cannot be done post- production. Any advice is appreciated. Thank you.

Hey Larry,
Your installer is correct about factory puck systems needing to be installed at the factory and would not be an option aftermarket. Luckily, Demco does have an underbed mounting system for your 2013 Ford F-350 with part # DM8551000. From there you can just swap out the side plates with part # DM44YV to switch from Ford's puck spacing to Demco's.
