Will The Curt C13417 Work With OEM Tow Bumper And 4-Prong On A 2024 Ford Ranger?

Question:
I am looking at a 2024 ford ranger The truck currently has a bumper ball setup. It has a welded bracket holding the 4 prong wire plug in. Can your hitch be used with this set up already on truck. I saw one with factory trailer hitch an has different bumper. Thanks for any information

Hello Robert, thanks for reaching out. I have not heard of the welded 4-prong bracket or the bumper ball being an issue when installing the # C13417 hitch on a Ranger. That said, with this vehicle being fairly new, and with the bracket not appearing on every vehicle, I cannot say with certainty if it will be a problem or not. What I recommend you do is take a look at the diagrams in the instructions and compare them to your truck. The pictures will give you a really good idea of where the hitch will be located so you should be able to use this to determine if the bracket will be an obstruction or not. You will find the manufacturer instructions linked below.

Hey Robert, were you able to compare the diagrams with your Ranger to see if that welded 4-prong bracket would get in the way of the Curt hitch? Knowing how it lined up could really help others with the same bumper ball setup.
