Can ST175/80R13 Get Replaced with ST205/75-14

Updated 07/25/2024 | Published 07/24/2024

Question:

Im looking for information on replacement tires. I have a 1996 Coleman Shenandoah. The tires on it now are ST175/80R13. I want to know without needing to try them first if ST205/75R14 will clear everything. It looks too tight in the fender well. I plan on purchasing tires and rims. Thank you.

Hey Ken, if you were to go from your current size to the ST205/75R14 like # AM32131 you'd lose about one inch of fender well clearance. The width difference would be pretty minimal but it would be 30 mm split on either side of your hub center. Generally we recommend having at least 3 inches of vertical fender clearance and 1 inch from side of trailer frame to sidewall of tire.

Thank you for the reply. It looks too close with the factory tiers now. I’ll just replace with the same size. Thanks Ken
