Gooseneck Hitch to Fifth Wheel Adapter for 2008 Ford F-250 With Atwood Gooseneck Hitch

Updated 02/03/2026 | Published 07/19/2024

Question:

Good day, I am writing to see if a demco recon or a curt crosswing would work for my application. Please excuse the spelling and punctuation errors as I am using voice to text. I have a 2008 Ford f250 with a Atwood mobile products gooseball in the long bed. I have curt rotoflex on my 5th wheel. I have a lippert frame. Frame model number 1621 bolt pattern on it that the curt is attached to. I am looking into my options on how to tow this fifth wheel safely. Gvar is 16000 on the trailer. Thank you so much for your time and please let me know if I can answer any more questions to help narrow anything down.

Hi Joel, as long as that Atwood hitch has a standard 2-5/16" gooseneck ball mount that is no more than 5" tall you can use the Demco Recon Gooseneck-to-5th Wheel Trailer Hitch Adapter # DM8550045. The Recon is compatible with your Curt Rota-Flex # LC328329 so you can use the two together. It also has a gross towing weight of 21,000 lbs so your 16k GVWR won't be a problem.

Hey Joel, how did the Demco Recon end up working with your Curt Rota-Flex and the Atwood gooseneck ball on your F-250? Your update could make it easier for others setting up a similar towing setup.
