Hello David. I can definitely point you in the right direction of a new hub and brake assembly for your Rockwood camper. I do not have a way to look up your camper to know exactly what parts you will need though, so we will need to gather and confirm a bit more info.

The most helpful thing to know is the weight capacity of the axle. Knowing that will tell me exactly what size brake assembly you will need, and it will help tremendously to narrow down the correct hub.

For example, what we see most commonly on campers like yours are 3,500 lb axles. These will use the standard 10" x 2-1/4" brake assembly. If this is what you have, the correct Dexter Nev-R-Adjust brake assembly for the driver side is part # 23-468.

For the hubs, the 3,500 lb axles use standard bearing sizes, those being the # L68149 (1.378" inner diameter) inner bearing and the # L44649 (1.063" inner diameter) outer bearing. If this is indeed what you have, I recommend the hub part # AKHD-545-35-EZ-K. This hub comes pre greased with bearings. It has the 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern which is standard.

If you do not have a 3,500 lb axle just let me know in the comments below and I am happy to make a recommendation.

Hey David, did you get a chance to check the weight rating on your Rockwood’s Dexter axles? Once you confirmed that, were the 3,500‑lb Nev‑R‑Adjust brakes and matching hub a good fit? Your update could make it easier for others working on similar campers.
