Question:
94 Dodge Ram 1500 4wd. Recently installed Timbrens. Front and Rear are resting on the frame. There should be a 1 inch space between the Timbren and the frame, no spacers. Rides rough. What would be the best way to fix this? Thanks.

Hi Chet,
Timbren SES kits like the # TDR1525H4 and # TDF25004B you installed should have a 1/2" to 1-1/2" gap. If they do not then your factory suspension is going to need to be upgraded/replaced. The coil springs and shocks are likely worn too much to support the weight, causing the vehicle to sag down enough for the Timbren's to engage. I would look into getting your shocks and coil springs replaced to help create a gap between them and the bump stop plates.
Both of the Timbren kits you picked have a 6,000lb capacity so they are going to be very stiff and cause ride quality issues if they aren't under a heavy load.
