1988 boat trailer with 14 inch single axle wheels I got 1.7/8 inch with a tape measure but I dont have a calaber tool.

Hey Norman, it sounds like you are looking for bearing buddies for your boat trailer. Without a caliper measurement it is going to be difficult to accurately recommend the correct parts. There are a few potential sizes that could appear to be 1-7/8" to the naked eye. The Bearing Buddy pair you were looking at, part # BB1781, fits a 1.781 inch hub bore. I do suggest that you take a caliper such as part # PTW80157 to double check your hub bore measurement.
