Is Redarc Tow Pro Liberty Good Brake Controller for 2022 Chevy Colorado

Question:

I want to add a brake control on my 2022 Colorado. I was looking at the Redarc control but I see one wants a 25 amp fused circuit and the other wants a 30 amp breaker. I cant find information on what the Colorado has in it. I know both just tie into the factory harness. Do you have any idea what the factory harness is rated so I can figure out what I can use? Any help you could give would be much appreciated. Thank you

Hey Nate, so the Redarc Tow Pro Liberty part # RED52VR is a great option that I would recommend for your 2022 Chevy Colorado. I would not worry about the fuse size on the brake controller install circuit though as that is going to be for towing trailers with several axles that have heavier brake magnets which isn't going to be an issue for you. We installed this on a 2022 Colorado and found it worked well.
