Is there a fixed ball mount rated high enough for my boat trailer? It weighs 8500lbs when loaded. The trailer coupler sits a little lower than my truck receiver, maybe a couple inches.

Good afternoon Liz, there sure is! I highly recommend checking out the etrailer Ball Mount w/ Pre-Torqued # e99DR; it is rated at 10k lbs and has a drop of 2" which sounds perfect for your application. The ball is pre-torqued for you and the ball and hardware are coated in black nickel, which holds up to corrosion better than standard chrome balls (48hr salt rating vs 72hr salt rating). You won't have to worry about the water eating away at your ball mount when dropping your boat in the water.

Hey Chaz, yes the Reese ball mount part #RP82AR that you referenced can be used in the rise position. The torque rating for the ball's nut will be based on the hitch ball that you use and not the ball mount.
