What is Needed to Add 7-Way to 2021 Toyota Highlander That Has 4-Way

Question:
I have a 2021 Toyota Highlander LE with a factory hitch and 4 pin trailer connector. I also have a Primus IQ brake controller. What would I need to get a 7 pin connector installed on this car so that I can get the brakes connected? Thanks, Kevin

Hey Kevin,
Since you already have a 4-way on your 2021 Toyota Highlander you can add a 7-way with one kit, which is the following:
- Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller # ETBC7
So what you'll do is just plug your existing 4-way into the 7-way that comes with the # ETBC7; the kit also gives you the wiring, circuit breakers, and rest of the hardware needed for installation. I've added a link below to an install of this kit on a 2019 Highlander, which is going to be exactly the same as on your 2021.
