Solution for Fant-Tastic RV Roof Vent 6600 That Needs New Remote

I am looking to replace my 6600 FAN-TASTIC vent w/417RF remote. Is there a universal remote control for vent fans that w ill open and close and change variable speeds? Also, it raises so high that I cant find a tall enough cover to protect it from the wind here in Nevada. Any solutions?

Hey Greg, so I don't have great news but I reached out to my contact at Fan-Tastic Vent and the 6600R-417 unit no longer has a rectangular remote replacement available. I also confirmed that the Replacement Digital Remote Control for Fan-Tastic Vent Roof Vent with 12V Fan # FV9068-09 is not compatible. They recommend replacing the entire unit with the Fan-Tastic Vent Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan and Remote - Powered Lift - 14-1/4" x 14-1/4" # FV807350.
Then for a vent cover the Dometic part # FVU1500WH would work great as it was designed to be used with that roof vent.
