Question:

I'll need to occasionally carry a bike rack with my 2022 Odyssey but maybe once a month and then for our big vacations we take each summer. I would love a hitch that's hidden when I'm not using it and a rack that can move enough for me to get at our cooler in the back when we are traveling. What do you got?

I have the perfect solution for your 2022 Honda Odyssey!

The Hidden Hitch by Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver # DT76GR has a crosstube that installs up and out of the way and then you can remove the locked receiver when you aren't using the hitch. So you have the hitch when you need to use your bike rack but then you can easily remove the receiver for those weeks when you aren't using the rack! (see attached)

When it comes to carrying bikes I have 2 different recommendations and it all depends on what you're looking to get out of the rack; the Thule Apex Swing XT # TH9027XT is a hanging-style rack so you can easily carry up to 4 bikes (some bikes may require an adapter bar # TH982XT), and then the Yakima EXO Swing Away # Y34ZR has a 2-bike platform rack as well as an enclosed cargo carrier to help promote more leg room inside your van! Both options have a swing-away feature so you're able to gain unrestricted access to the back of your Odyssey when the need arises.
