Can the CE Smith Spare Tire Carrier # CE22007Z-11050-2 Be Mounted Facing Down

Question:
I have a 1998 tracker trailer with 13inch tires on 5 hole wheels. Can this mount be used to mount the tire on the underside of the tongue? There is not enough room to mount on top of the trailer frame. I just didnt know if it was strong enough to hold the weight of the tire and wheel.

Yes, you can install the CE Smith Spare Tire Carrier # CE22007Z-11050-2 facing down on the underside of your trailer tongue. The U-bolt is just as strong in that direction as it would be in any other orientation.
I would just be sure that you have enough ground clearance for the wheel in that position.
