Question:

Hi, Recently purchased a Keystone Cougar 5th wheel half ton to be towed with my 2019 GMC 3500 HD Sierra with a 6.5 ft bed. Im looking at auto sliding hitches, I read that Lippert would not recommend this sliding or any sliding hitch due to potential frame damage. Do you know this to be a fact? Thank you, Ed

I do not, Ed. But what I can tell you is that if you don't have a rotating pin box that you need a sliding 5th wheel in order to get the clearance needed for 90 degree turns.

If you don't use a sliding hitch, and you don't have a rotating pin box, then your 5th wheel is almost certainly going to hit your truck's cab.

If you're looking for suggestions, the B&W Patriot 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Slider # BWRVK3270 with the B&W Custom Installation Kit w/ Base Rails for 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches # BWRVK2506 would work great.
