Recommended Sliding Hitch for a 2016 Chevy Silverado 2500 With a B&W Turnoverball

Question:

I have a 2016 Chevy 2500hd with bandw flip over ball. I would like a sliding 5th wheel hitch. What option do I have? Is there an automatic sliding 5th wheel that will install in this truck with the goose mount?

Allan, there are no automatic sliding 5th wheel hitches that will work with your Turnoverball, unfortunately. B&W does make a sliding hitch, the B&W Companion Slider Gooseneck-to-5th-Wheel Trailer Hitch Adapter # BWRVK3400, which drops right into your existing Turnoverball hole.

Bryce, I already have the B&W Companion Gooseneck-to-5th-Wheel Trailer Hitch Adapter - Dual Jaw - 20,000 lbs BWRVK3500. Can I just purchase the Replacement Slider Base for B&W Companion Slider 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch - 20,000 lbs Item#BWRVB3405 and use the head from my current non sliding 5th wheel hitch?

@Allan I see what you're asking, yes you can Alan. I was misinterpreting your question, but I understand what you're getting at. With that being said, using the Replacement Slider Base for B&W Companion Slider 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # BWRVB3405 with your current hitch head will work just fine, and will convert your Companion to a sliding 5th wheel.
