Since your 2006 Chevy Silverado 2500HD has the factory bumper and the shorter 6-1/2' bed, I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch item # C15302. This hitch is custom fit and bolts to your Silverado with included hardware. It is a class V hitch with a 2" receiver, a 16,000 lbs towing capacity, and a 2,400 lbs maximum tongue weight.
Additionally, using this hitch with a weight distribution system will increase the towing capacity to 17,000 lbs.

Thanks jerred H, that’s a lot of hitch, probably more than I’ll ever need, an it cost more too, an I’ll have to purchase a bracket for my electrical hook up, an it’s not concealed,so, I’d like info on the one I had originally ask about, Will it fit just like my original, no drilling ?
