Question:
Etrailer experts, I need some help. I have a boat trailer with the discontinued UFP Gold Series oil bath hubs. One of the caps is starting to leak. Would the Kodiak XLProlube1980 be a direct replacement for the UFP cap? The UFP system runs with the hub full of 50wt oil. If this cap is a replacement, would you continue to run the hub full of oil or fill partially like the Kodiak system? Also considering switching to grease system? Thanks for any advice. Dave

Thanks for the pictures! Since your UFP Gold Series oil bath hubs have a 1.98" outer bore then yes, the Kodiak XL ProLube Oil Bath Hub Body and Cap item # xlprolube1980 would work for your boat trailer.
The directions say to fill to manufacturer's specifications so you will want to follow the instructions for your UFP system. You may also need the Kodiak Synthetic Bearing Oil for Oil Bath Hubs item # XLPROLUBE.
If you would rather have a grease system, I recommend the Double Lip Grease Seal item # 58846 and adding the Bearing Buddy item # BB1980A-SS as this will give you an EZ Lube style spindle hub.
