Is 12V power Pin on 6-Way Flat Towed Vehicle Connector Safe

Question:

I installed 6 way pin on my 2018 Jeep Wrangler to toad behind RV. I used the center pin to run a charge line to Jeep battery with charge line kit from road master and checked line before hooking up to Jeep battery. All was good. After unhooking from RV out of curiosity I checked to see if the Jeep battery stayed hot and it did test hot on the 6 pin. Is this a concern? Will it damage anything in my RV when I hook up on long trips? Should I put a diode on the line to prevent it going back to 6 pin?

Hey Tony,

The Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit # RM-156-25 being hot will not damage anything, because it's connected to the 12 power terminal on your battery.
