Advent Air AC Unit Replacement Recommendation for Dometic Unit

Question:

I want to make sure im getting the right AC and this will work with the air distribution box for the ductwork on the interior of my 2019 Dutchman Aspen Trail 3010BHDS. I dont want to have to fabricate or alter any parts. I need the replacement to go as smooth as possible. The current Dometic AC im needing to replace have the following numbers. Serial # 73024075, Product # 936002217 and SKU# 9105304475. see picture Will the ACDOM150B or white one work without having to fabricate any interior parts as a replacement for the Dometic? BAsically is it plug and play and will it work with the current thermostat? Ive chatted on the phone and online with a couple of people but I wasnt confident they knew what I was asking. Thanks

Hey Nathan, the Advent Air Dometic AC replacement part # ACDOM150 is exactly what you are looking for to replace what you have now and it will give you a super easy install that uses the same connectors and brackets so it would be about as painless as possible.

I recently purchased the advent model ASA98YR to replace my dometic 936002217. I have it installed and wired except for the furnace. At this point I realized I may have gotten the wrong on. I have 2 wire that run tobthe furnace. I would expect them to be a simple contact from the thermostat. The new unit only has one wire while the existing is two. What can I do?

@Brianb We had this same issue before that you can see in the attached install video link but what we did was run the furnace negative from what you have now to the thermostat and cap off the furnace positive and it worked. The wiring portion starts around the 12 minute mark.

Will the original ceiling unit need to be replaced as well, or will the Dometic unit work with the Advent A/C

@Michael It won't work like what this questions states. We at one point thought those types of AC unit replacements could be mix and matched (Advent and Dometic) but we found that the lower unit doesn't like having the Advent unit up top most of the time so we had to take these adapter style units off our site. Only solution would be an all new setup like the part # ACM150C.
