Question:

Hi, I have Subaru OEM cross bars which are 2.5 inches wide by 1/2 inch thick photo attached. I have a pair of Dorsal pads but they dont fit snug on my bars very loose. Most pads seem to only fit larger aerobars. Can you recommend some that will fit snug? Steve

Thanks for the picture! I recommend the Yakima Crossbar Pads for Aero Crossbars item # Y07413. These come in a pair and measure 30" long x 3" wide x 3" tall. These pads have four Velcro strips that run the entire 30" length. They will ensure the pads stay snug on your factory crossbars.

I have linked a review video below so you can see them demonstrated on a Crosstrek we had in the shop awhile back.

@Steve You're welcome Steve! The Rhino-Rack Crossbar Pads w/ Tie-Downs item # RRRWP03 you were looking at are only 21-1/2" long. I prefer the Yakima item # Y07413 because of how the Velcro pads are broken into four separate sections.
