Recommended Replacement for an Elixir 45 Converter

Question:

I have an Elixir Industries converter in my 2005 StarCraft Aruba Tahiti travel trailer that has gone bad. Model number is ELX-45. Could you please point me to a direct replacement? Will I need to move breakers or anything else? Will this hard wire or does it “plug” in and I have to build an outlet. Any info will help. Thank you.

Hey Scott, I recommend going with the Progressive Dynamics 4000 Series Mini RV Converter w/ Charge Wizard and AC/DC Distribution Panel # PD4045KA for a replacement.

This will work with lithium-ion, flooded lead acid, AGM, and gel batteries, will provide a higher charge rate to your battery bank, and since you're replacing the Elixir model EXL-45 all of your wiring is rated for this unit.
