What Is The Global Link Locking Baggage Lock GL34FR Made Of

Question:
Is this made of plastic or metal? I am looking to replace the 3 latches I have on my Jayco Melbourne 24l. I would like to go with the metal ones from global but the door is less than an inch thick and I believe they need to be at least 1-1/2”.

Hey Eric sorry for the delayed response. As far as the Global Link Locking Baggage Lock Actuator Set with Mounting Plate # GL34FR, the handle and face plate are made of plastic. The mounting plate is made of steel. This latch will work on doors 0.7" to 1.25" thick.
