Question:
How Does Jensen RV Stereo JWM62A Get Wired to Replace Old AWM970? I see that this question has been asked before and they said there is a video on how to do it, but I cant find the video. Here is a copy of the question I found. Question: I have an old AWM970 that I want the replace with a JWM62A. The new one has fewer wires, I need to know what ones I can leave out. asked by: Penny W Expert Reply: After looking up the wiring diagrams for your old RV Stereo AWM970 and your new Jensen RV Stereo # JWM60A Jensen part number JWM62A you new stereo should actually have 3 more wires, not less wires. The AWM970 had two connectors, a 12 pin and a 4 pin where the # JWM60A has 19 wires in its connector. To install the new harness you will need to match the functions for shown in the two included wiring diagrams, and importantly go one wire at a time so that nothing gets mixed up. I went ahead and included a video of the # JWM60A being installed for you to take a look at. expert reply by: Samuel C

Hi Diane,
I've attached the video Sam referenced below, but I will say that Ryan kind of skips over splicing the harness into the factory wiring so I found a video I made for another stereo where I'll walk you through this process starting at the 5:20 minute mark. I've attached the wiring diagrams for both the Jensen # JWM60A and AWM970 to help with swapping over the wiring. If you still need help then let me know and I'd be happy to help out further.
