Recommended Replacement Rooftop AC Unit For An Airxcel Model # 8534C8797

Question:

I need to replace 2 AC units Airxcel model 8534C8797. I see the Coleman Mach 48008-969 is the replacement but they are out of stock. Is there another direct replacement?

The 8534C8797 is showing as a 15,000BTU unit so the 48008-969 (13,500BTU) would technically connect and work, but wouldn't be as efficient at cooling the trailer. The Furrion Chill HE Replacement RV Air Conditioner for Coleman Setup - 15,000 Btu # FR42PV you were looking at would however be a compatible fit since it comes with an adapter to connect to your system's 9-pin plug. This unit, as well as the others that we currently offer, does not have a heat pump so you would be losing this feature if you swapped over to these.

Installation will just involve you removing the cover of the air distribution box to gain access to both the wire harness and four bolts that clamp the rooftop unit to the roof. The new unit with the adapter should drop right in place, plug-in, and bolt down for an easy swap out. There are some additional brackets included to help line up the bolt holes when mounting the unit if yours don't line up properly with the new unit.
