Disc Brake Kit For Gooseneck Trailer With Dexter Idler Hub 008-430-03

Question:
I have a 2020 Texas Pride 40 ft GN with 2 tandem, not duals, 9K axles. I believe they are Wilbury axles, at least thats what the PDF file from them says. They have an integrated hub and drum on it. They have the 12-1/4 x 3-3/8 brakes on them with the 7 bolt brake flange. Inner bearing 387A outer bearing 25520 with an ez lube type spindle. I want to convert to disc brakes and i think i will need your hub kit Item # 008-430-03 but i cant seem to find the correct disc brake kit for this on your site. The thing that isnt matching up is the brake bolt flange, the one that seems correct only has the 5 bolt flange and i have the 7 bolt brake flange. Do you have any suggestions or part numbers that will work for me, thanks.

Thanks for writing in and giving all that information, Michael, it was very helpful. And with that info, I was able to possibly find a solution for adding disc brakes that will work with your 7-bolt brake flange. The important thing here was the hub you mentioned, as there is a kit designed exactly for the Dexter Oil Hub for 9K to 10K General Duty Axles - After April 2013 # 008-430-03.
I do need to note that the reason I say "possible" is that this will only work if you have the leaf spring axle - I was unable to find any specific info on the Wilbury axles, just some general info that said they "may be equipped" with leaf springs. So if you do have the leaf spring set up (which I'm hoping), the correct disc brake kit designed to work with the # 008-430-03 hub and a 7-bolt brake flange is the Kodiak Disc Brake Kit # K2R1058D11E.
However, if you have a torsion axle set up, then unfortunately we wouldn't have a solution for you.
