Video Transcript for Breaking Down the Dexter Tandem-Axle Trailer Equalizer Kit for 2-1/2" Slipper Springs

Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a quick look at this Dexter Tandem Axle Trailer Equalizer Kit. This kit is going to allow you to attach four two and a half inch slipper springs to your trailer's frame. Those springs are sold separately. This kit will include these two, 24 and five-eighths of an inch long straight equalizers, as well as these two four and a half inch tall center hangers with the one-inch diameter bolt holes.

So these are gonna be designed for use on trailers with tandem 10,000 pound general duty Dexter axles. This will allow for 48 and a half inches of space between your axles. They do include the one-inch diameter center hole on your mounting hanger for your included one-inch diameter bolt. This is a five and a quarter inch long, one-inch diameter bolt. They also are going to include your one-inch diameter lock nut, as well as your three-quarter inch diameter spring eye bolts.

And this is a four and a half inch long bolt. You're gonna get two of those and two of the lock nuts for those so that you can get your springs mounted onto this side. So you will need to have a front and rear hangar for mounting your springs. If you don't already have those, we have a kit available you can use using that part number that you see on the screen there. That will give you the full setup with this kit when it's paired with this kit so that you can get those springs mounted on very easily.

This isn't going to include components for mounting your axle to the springs or the springs themselves or the axle. So it's just gonna be the equalizers and those mounting brackets to get the equalizers mounted in place. So that completes our look for today. Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com.
