Question:
i purchase a class a motorhome with a 10,000 lb blue ox to bar bx 7445 stamped date of 07/12 is this tow bar safe to use or should i replace it Thanks Andy

Hi Andy,
Blue Ox states that their tow bars have a life expectancy of 8-10 years and recommend servicing them every 2 years. If you reach out to Blue Ox they will service your Aventa LX tow bar or let you know if the tow bar is in need of replacement. If the tow bar is in need of replacement then you'll want to first see what brand/style baseplate is on/going to be on your towed vehicle and then choose a compatible tow bar so that you don't have to purchase an additional adapter to go between the tow bar and base plate.
For example, the Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit # RM77VR you were looking at would require a tow bar that has Roadmaster direct-connect style attachment points like the Roadmaster Falcon All-Terrain # RM-522. If you'd like some help picking out the correct flat towing components for your towed vehicle then I'll just need to know the year/make/model of the both the vehicle and motorhome.
