Question:
Hello, I have a single axle boat trailer for 18foot boat. The axle is rated for 3,000lbs but I think I have the wrong springs on the trailer bought new in 2011. The open eye end of the spring is contacting the trailer frame when loaded as in the photos. Should I go with a double eye leaf spring as a replacement? I think my brackets are designed for double-eye, not slipper but I dont mind using a slipper. Please help so I can buy the correct springs. Center to center to springs bolts are 26inch on the bracket installed. Thank you!

Based on your images it does appear your trailer was built to have double eye springs rather than a slipper spring. For this you will need to measure your current mounts from bolt hole center to bolt hole center. We have the 3,500LB leaf springs which will provide you with enough capacity. We have them in a 23-1/8" # e59SR, 25-1/8" # e68SR or 27" # e97SR length. You will want to select the spring length slightly larger than your mounting bolt pattern. You will need the Suspension Kit # K71-358-00 for attaching the double eye spring.
