Getting level used to mean crawling under your rig and cranking jacks by hand. With the Lippert Ground Control 3.0, you just hit one button and let it handle the work. The auto-level feature automatically brings your setup to a perfect level using four motorized jacks that raise, lower, and support the trailer with precision. It’s quick, steady, and eliminates the trial-and-error guesswork of manual adjustment. Once you’ve set your zero-point, it returns to that same level every time.

Once parked, you want a rig that feels solid underfoot. This system’s sturdy steel jacks with corrosion-resistant black powder coat finish lock it down tight. Each jack rests on a large, round footplate that keeps it from sinking into soft ground and adds stability when walking inside or unloading gear. With proper setup, it supports trailers with a GVWR up to 15,500 lbs for serious strength you can trust all season long.
No one wants to be stuck mid-lift if power cuts out. Each jack includes manual override access so you can still operate the system if needed. The motors use Hall effect technology to measure motor revolutions per minute instead of amp draw, giving more precise control for smooth leveling even on uneven ground. It’s smart engineering built for reliability in real-world use.
Setup doesn’t get much easier than this. The included touchpad mounts inside a front exterior storage compartment and clearly shows status updates on its lighted LCD screen. The buttons are easy to read, and indicator lights tell you exactly what’s happening as the system levels or adjusts. Whether you’re setting up camp or getting ready to hitch back up, everything is right at your fingertips.

Upgrading is simple thanks to the bolt-on design. The front landing gear uses existing mounting points, while the rear jacks bolt onto 8", 10", or 12" I-beam frames with included brackets and hardware. It runs on a 12-volt power source and comes complete with a control module, sensor, wiring harnesses, and mounting hardware—everything needed for a clean install without welding.
Determine where these jacks will be mounted on your trailer. Use this system if there will be 20' or more between the center of the landing gear footpad and the center of the rear jack footpad. If your setup requires less than 20' between the jacks, use the 4-point Ground Control system (LC358590) instead.

Hello, neighbor, Steven here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look together at our Lippert Ground Control 3.0 electric leveling kit for a prepped fifth wheel. So folks, this is for, again, a prepped fifth wheel. It's understood that you would have two jacks already on your fifth wheel, and then these four jacks in this kit would give you a total of six, being a six point set at that time. Now, one thing to note is that you would use this system if there's gonna be 20 feet or more between the center of the landing gear foot pad and the center of your rear jack foot pad. If there's not 20 feet or more, this is the wrong kit for you.
We have another kit for a measurement less than that. Now, getting into it, whenever you have this installed, again, there's that 20 feet I was talking about. Hopefully that graphic will explain it a little bit better. But again, if there's more than 20 feet between the center of the landing gear foot pad and the center of the rear jack foot pad, this is the kit for you. Now folks, this electronic leveling system will let you quickly and rapidly easily level and stabilize your fifth wheel RV.
And it has an auto level feature that automatically levels your trailer perfectly with a simple touch of a button on the controlled pad. Now, the manual mode will let you move each individual jack by itself or in pairs, however you decide to set it up. And the touch pad control has an easy to read button and LED screen here. Now this mounts inside a front exterior storage compartment with the included hardware and everything you have here along with all the hardware for the jack. I didn't lay all the hardware out 'cause I didn't have space, but all the hardware for the jack mounts, and that touch pad there, control module is in that bag.
Now the motorized jacks raise and lower and support the RV. The drop legs on the front landing gear allow for greater adjustability. Now this has a precise leveling using haul effect technology, and that just means that it measures the motor home revolutions per minute instead of amps or measures the motor revolutions per minute instead of amps. Everything here is a nice sturdy steel construction with a nice powder coat black color finish over the top so you don't have to worry about corrosion as much. It's corrosion resistant and everything.
Now there's a manual override access on all the jacks to allow operation in case of power failure, and it's simply under this plug here on the top and then you could raise it up or down manually that way if you needed to. Now the rear jacks install on 8 inch, 10 inch, or 12 inch frames. So you've got all that option here with the jack mounting bracket. You got all these different holes and everything to go to those frame widths and heights. Now drilling is required, so I wanna point that out as well. And your front landing gear uses existing mounting points on the RV. This is gonna run to a 12 volt power supply. You're gonna use the control board here and everything whenever you're wiring everything up. You get control modules, you get a mounting bracket, you get all the different wiring harnesses that come with it, they've all got the joist connectors on the ends and everything. So very nice, very easy to install. Just take some time, read the instructions before you start just to make sure you understand what you're doing before you start. And again, folks, this is rated for up to 15,500 pounds capacity. The rear jacks have a travel of 12.5 inches while the front jacks have a total of 36 inches. Well, folks that will wrap it up for our quick look at this Lippert Ground Control 3.0 kit. I'm Steven, thanks so much for watching. Have a great day.

Installation was straight forward, if time consuming. Only issue was Lippert was changing unit, and I got the control unit for the new system and the remote for the old system. Lippert shipped me the components to use the new app remote, and that works fine.
It's is a great improvement to push a button and wait 5 minutes or so for the camper to be perfectly level instead of backing up, check, pull forward, stack block, backup, rinse and repeat a few more times. Setup is so much easier it is amazing! Highly recommend this product.
I have had the ground control system which I installed myself for a year now and so far have a couple issues. Mostly a learning curve but once you learn the system it does everything I expected the system to do. The remote control has only one function and that is to raise and lower the jacks. The landing gear button does nothing. Trailer when level still has some motion but it is a minimum. The system does make it easier to level the trailer and reconnect when ready to leave. I like it so far with minimum issues.
One of the best investments I ever made! No more running around will level to check for leveling of unit. Just press the auto level and it's magically done! With the large pads and location of rear jacks, the trailer is more stable than the factory manual jacks. Highly recommend the LC358590 for your 5th wheel. Excellent service and technical help from etrailer staff!
This package was well put together in one box (275 lbs). The instructions were brief and to the point. No blather. Most of the work was in dropping the underbelly and pulling the 3 wiring harnesses to the rear of the 5th wheel. My trailer had brackets for the 2 rear jacks mounted on the frame and a mounting plate for the rear centerline sensor. This kit included both these items, which are now extra.
The product was delivered as advertised. All of the parts and pieces are of very good quality. This is not a first time handy man install. I do all of my own repairs and this install took me 4 days not 4 hrs. The first day was spent removing the under belly. The second day was spent removing the existing front landing gear. The first two days of work had nothing related to this product. I had to cut the side molding out to accommodate the new middle stabilizers. Because of the size of my frame I need to grind the frame on all mounts so they fit securely. Self threading bolts are included but after no luck I bought a tap to tap the holes. I used newly purchased bolts on the areas I could drill through the frame and reach the other side with lock washers and nuts. Mounting the gear was straight forward with no issues. All of the wiring was well marked and correct length. The rest of the install went smooth with no issues. Be sure you understand the amount of work required to install this product on a used unit. If needed I would purchase and install this product on my next 5th wheel.
1. This is a tremendous product. Wish we had ordered our fiver with this factory installed. Super happy it was available as an aftermarket product. Works exactly as LCI and etrailer said it would. If you do not have auto-level, get this!
2. etrailer is great. Ordering was simple and the leveling system delivered ahead of schedule. Would rate them as a five-star e-retailer.
3. Both etrailer and LCI said this could be installed directly on my 27.5 RLTS. The supporting installation manuals intimated that as well. And as I am mechanically inclined, that convinced me I could handle the install myself. Once I received the system, that proved not to be the case. The front jacks required modifications to fit and the rear jack mounting brackets were too big for my trailer frame. So, ended up taking my trailer and the leveling system to LCI's Service Center in Indiana to have it installed. That was a cost I was hoping to avoid with the self-install. However, LCI's Service Center and tech department is fantastic. Great customer service and installation.
4. Bottom line, if your are installing yourself, connect with etrailer and LCI and obtain product drawings and dimensions to confirm fit. Or, buy it from etrailer and have it professionally installed at LCI.
Wish I’d have bought this long ago. I’d buy it again. E trailer as always was great to work with in getting me the correct kit.
After the initial installation there was a little confusion about setup I have been very happy with the way it works really simple push one button hit auto levels it's still working well thanks
This is a great upgrade to any 5th wheel and worth every penny. It is some work to install but if you have a little mechanical skills and take your time its no problem!!
Works very well!!
shipped in a timely manner. Easy install wit good instructions. I did have one question about the location of the rear lifts and called the company and we had an answer instantly. Wiring was very easy with good instructions. The system worked on the first try and have had no issues so far. Great system. I was looking at newer campers with auto leveling and about 40 to $50,ooo if I traded my paid for camper in. The cost saved me a lot of money and works as it should and saves my back and a lot of set up time. would and have recommended to others. Thanks.
Installation took me about 16 hours, which includes sealing up the bottom of camper. Had to make a few modifications to trailer, no major problems. So far, works the way advertised. Missing some hardware, made one phone call and company sent out the difference.
The leveling system works very well.I am very satisfied. I do recommend that before you do level the trailer that you get the trailer some what level first though.I installed it myself and the installation was not to hard. I did have to modify one of the rear brackets because of the slide out. But other than that not bad.
E Trailer customer service is top notch A+++++, The Lippert ground control 3.0 is an awesome product. Installation was straight forward. Just take your time and it all comes together nicely. All of the wiring is clearly marked and just needs to be routed to the front. The system works great and levels my fifth wheel within 3 minutes. I highly recommend this product.
This is an excellent product! Don't know why I waited so long to purchase. If you have basic mechanical skills you can install this. Took me about 4 hrs to install with the help of a friend to install the landing gear jacks. Had to modify the jack mounting tabs just a little to get them to fit, but not anything a little grinder could'nt handle. Overall, heavy duty, easy to install and a must have for any 5th wheel. Have used it many times without any issues...love it!!!!
Price, delivery, communication all great. Install was complex on my rig and it is a Lippert frame and chassis. Required a lot of mods on my 2017 Attitude 28SAG. Had to cut away some metal (non structural) to get mounting points on rear jacks. Had to reroute fuel lines to genset. With no access to the left front landing gear, I cut and added an access door and gained bonus storage area. Wiring was a breeze with the nice harnesses, long enough for any size rig. Quiet and fast.
Caution: make sure you mount the Quick Release Pull Pin with the barrel away from the frame: This unit retracts automatically very close to frame and you can bend the pin.
Cons:
Mounting plate for rear sensor was not painted and was rusty. No screws included to mount sensor but listed on parts list. only included 8 frame attacing bolts, install requires 12.
No big deal.
Overall well worth the money and the effort.
The system is not what was advertised, it's better, at least for me. Everything arrived on a pallet in excellent condition, except for the advertised remote. I contacted etrailer and they put a replacement on order which I received a few days later. In the meantime, I tried to place the controller in the mode to sync the remote and see if the remote I had with my RV would sync, but I could not get the controller in that mode to accept a remote. Upon reading the controller label, I noticed it said BT and had a passcode on the side of it, so I downloaded the app and it connected to my phone. It seems the LCI Linc remote is obsolete for my Ground Control 3.0 and it is now using the phone app. Everything seems to work as expected; I'm excited to try everything out this weekend on our first outing. I was able to push a fiberglass push stick from the front basement to where the rear jacks are located without dropping the underbelly and pull all the required cables to the rear of the camper and utilize existing frame holes to bring the connectors out to the rear jacks. I think this will be a nice upgrade to our fifth wheel after our factory landing gear failed.
I love this leveling system and the support that Lippert gave me. I installed the jacks myself per the Lippert instructions. The only problem I had was that the self taping bolts would not self tap. I had to use an actual tap to put threads in my frame.
It is wonderful to push the auto level then step back & watch the system work. Then when it is time to leave the system brings the hitch to the perfect level for easy hook up. Very satisfied.
One of the best additions to our 5th wheel yet! I added these myself and it was not too hard, but I do have the proper tools. One install issue was around the pushout where I had to modify a bracket(see photos) We did a coast to coast and stayed in a LOT of places. These jacks worked very well as long as I got reasonably level side to side first. A few inches out is fine so most spots were a breeze, a few I needed to be on blocks so the tires did not come off the ground. The phone app is great to see initial level from the drivers seat, but I did most final leveling from the control pad. Overall great product and I recommend them especially if you are setting and breaking camp a lot.
This is one of the best upgrades I have done to my 2012 fifth wheel. You lift it off the truck and press auto level and it does the rest. I use 3 inch blocks under all the pads as SOP. If the camper is really off level, I raise the tires first on boards or ramps so the jacks don't try to lift them. So much time saved.
Let me say this to start, this system is AWESOME!! If you do not have a leveling system on your camper, this one works very , very well. I will say, the install and the learning curve takes time and is not too hard, but it's not super easy either. Once I got the system in place, and understood how to use it, the rest was a piece of cake.
Take your time on the install and get help. The parts are robust and heavy, so two people make it much easier. Have sharp drill bits to drill the attachment holes. Wiring is super simple, but take your time and make sure you get all the connections good and tight and secured well with zip ties.
The system requires a good strong battery, so make sure your battery is in great shape and you will not have any issues. Get the Lippert app also, it is very helpful.
I love it now, when I pull my 2006 Keystone Raptor 5th wheel toy hauler into a campsite, I hit a couple buttons and the longest it has taken to level my unit is 2 minutes and 30 seconds. I love it! It puts the camper at the same level every single time, which is awesome. No guessing, no driving up and down on blocks, just push a button and walk away until the camper is perfect. Would I do this over again you ask? Absolutely. Awesome system!
I really like the Ground Control 3.0 system. The 4-point kit for prepped, 6-point 5th wheels (front jacks were already factory installed) was very easy to install and set up. They work great. Only reason I gave 4 stars, instead of 5, is because Lippert decided to eliminate the, drop front jacks feature. Had it on my previous 5th wheel and loved it. Don't know why they would eliminate such a great feature.
Purchased this kit to make leveling trailer easier. Install went well while following the instructions. The only issue I had was the install of the level detection device. This was not due to the device as much as the pre-wire was installed inside the under-belly armor my trailer ans i had to find it.
I recommend this product as an upgrade to any trailer leveling system.
