Question:
What is the proper way to measure the length of a fender? I have an industrial wood chipper that I need to put new steel fenders on. It has 8 inch wheels. The fender is 7 inches wide, but I’m not quite sure how to determine the correct length. They are 1/2 round in shape. Thanks.

The length of a fender is measured from the longest point, at the very bottom of each end across. Then the height is measured from the tallest point, right in the center. For example, the CE Smith Single Axle Trailer Fender # CE17720 is 22-1/2" long x 7" wide x 8-1/4" tall. I have attached the diagram below to show exactly where you measure from. If you want to send over some measurements of your fender I am happy to see what we can offer you.
