Replacement for 3,500 lb Axle With 92-1/2 Inch Hub Face Measurement
Updated 10/27/2025 | Published 03/04/2025 >
Question:
Hi, I want to replace my 3500lb axle with a 5200lb axle. The axle sticker shows a HF measurement of 92.5 with a SC of 70. I measured the SC on the trailer and verified it as 70. When I measured from hub face to hub face it was more like 94. Am I measuring the hub face wrong?

Hey Ryan! I would say that something about that measurement is off. I have never seen an incorrect axle tag before so it is safe to assume 92-1/2" is the length.
That being said, we do not carry any axles that match your measurements. The only replacement I can offer is the Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension - Standard Duty # ASR5200S01. This has a universal design that fits any frame width and upgrades the trailer suspension. Is there a reason you want to swap the axle for a higher capacity?
