I see some answers that are not clear where this hitch utilizes the factory under facia removable cover of a 2022+ Tesla Model S or if it requires additional trimming. Can someone confirm if this hitch can be use just the factory space and can be covered using the factory under facia cover?

I went ahead and reached out to my contact at Torklift (EcoHitch) to confirm this. The EcoHitch # EH36SR does utilize the factory under fascia removable cover on a 2022+ Tesla Model S. So when the receiver insert is not installed, you can reinstall the factory hitch cover and hide the hitch completely. According to their instructions, you will not have to do any additional trimming.
