Question:

I have a 2021 Chevy Colorado which would require 4 Roadmaster Hy-power RM-154 diodes for towing behind a motorhome. Is it possible to use 2 Roadmaster R034FR Smart diodes in lieu of them ? If so, what are the pros and cons. Thanks

First the biggest difference is the cost of the Hy-Power Diodes # RM-794 being more price conscious than the Roadmaster Smart Diodes # RO34FR. The Hy-Power diodes will also allow you to tie into the 2 separate functions on the incandescent bulb where the smart diodes only have one output and regulates power going into the single function of the incandescent bulb. So if this filament inside the bulb were to fail neither light would work where as with the Hy-Power if the brake/turn filament goes out you will still have running lights.
