Question:

Hello I bought this item twice. The first set the key would not go in while hooking up for a long trip. I had to use a file to file out the notch on the top of the key as the lock shifted inside. With the above issues I bought another set. When we got home the lock was not there but thankfully the pin was still there. My question is do you have another type that’s a regular key? Thanks for your time

I believe I have a solution for you, however, the Blue Ox Base-Plate and Receiver Lock Kit # BX88359 is not available in a standard key configuration. What I did find, is the Demco Base Plate and Receiver Lock Kit # DM9523068. These are keyed alike in a standard key configuration, and contain 3 base plate locks (2) 1/2" diameter pins, and (1) 5/8" diameter pins.

The Blue Ox Base-Plate Lock Kit # BX88359 feature pins that are 1/2" in diameter matching the pin diameter of # DM9523068.
