Question:

Hi, trying to get some clarification on the range without the repeater - I have a 22 foot double axle travel trailer but it would be less than 30 feet from the driver seat where the phone will be to the furtherest axle/tire so would I need the kit with the repeater, I saw some reference of the range is 100 feet with the repeater but if I even got only half of that without the repeater I will be fine, any thoughts? p.a. I love etrailer I use it for all my travel trailer needs…thanks!!

I reached out to the manufacturer, ASA Electronics, and they stated they didn't have an exact range determined without the repeater and that you should always use repeater included with the # NCTP100 for trailer use. If you were just installing the # NCTP1002 on your vehicle then you would be fine without the repeater.
