Will A MaxxAir Rv Roof Vent Cover Work With A Dometic Fan-Tastic RV Roof Vent

I have the Maxx air vent cover on my 2022 GD fifth wheel, I am wanting to replace the bathroom vent wit a Dometic Fantastic vent automatic fan, will the Maxx air allow the Fantastic vent to open properly or do I need a different cover?

All of the RV roof vent covers on the market are designed a bit shorter than need for the vent lid to fully open due to height requirements. That being said, manufacturers have stated that as long as the vent lid opens 50% then the it will still be just as effective. Using the a Dometic cover like part # FVU1500BL is going to make the installation easier but you can still use the MaxxAir vent cover that you currently have. You'll likely just have to get new mounting hardware to attach it to the new vent.
If you have a FanMate cover you'll want part # MA94GR and for a standard cover you'll want # MA00-225000.
