Question:
The regulator info says that the inlet fittings can be removed so I can use my 1/4” npt hoses. Will a bunch of little parts fall out of the regulator fall out when I remove those inverted flare fittings?

No, the flare fittings on the JR Products Compact Automatic Changeover 2-Stage Propane Regulator # 37207-31525 are just adapters since flare fittings are don't require sealant and seem to be a more popular option for hoses. The NPT side of the fitting will likely have some sort of sealant, whether it's tape or a type of paste that might fall out on you but that's completely normal. Make sure that you use some sealant tape # 37207-30025 or paste # 37207-30555 when you connect your 1/4" NPT hoses.
