Troubleshooting A Lippert Electric Trailer Jack That Keeps Blowing Fuses

Question:

I have a 285318 lippert tongue jack. Starting blowing fuses. Came from factory with an 10 amp fuse. Is that right. Battery is one year old and might not be holding a correct charge. 10.5 as after 4 hour trip attached to 12 volt truck system. Could low voltage cause the fuse to flow??

The Lippert Electric Trailer Jack with Footplate # LC285318 can pull up to 30 amps DC so that would explain why you're blowing fuses. I recommend upgrading to a 30 amp fuse to avoid any further issues. Low voltage won't cause the fuse to blow, but would cause the jack to act weird or just not function at all.
