I have the 2-1/2 B and W 9 drop hitch installed on my 2018 Ram 2500. Ive had it about a year. When I first installed it, it was fairly tight and snug in the hitch. Now it is noticeably loose. Is that normal?

Expert Reply:
With the B&W Tow & Stow 3-Ball Mount # BW54FR all the pin points allow for some movement and as you use the mount the paint inside the components will wear away and cause for additional movement over time. We do have the XL Anti-Rattle Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock # SHP2040-XL which will help eliminate the play between the receiver on your 2018 Ram 2500 and the ball mount. This will not eliminate all the play in the ball mount since it does have the additional pins.
