I already own a rooftop carrier bag. Can I use it on a hitch-mounted carrier rack? I understand that it will be too wide, but is it possible to use bungee cords to hold it in place safely?

Expert Reply:
You can absolutely use a rooftop cargo bag with the Curt hitch mounted cargo carrier # C18152. You will want to take extra steps to secure the bag such as ratchet straps or bungee cords. Make sure you keep as much of the bag in the carrier as possible, and try to limit any overhang. Using a stretchable cargo net like the # C18202 may really help to keep everything in place.
