Question:

I have a 2015 29 foot Coachmen Chapperal that has 2 ac units 1 in the bedroom and 1 in the living room both are Dometic. I have to replace the main unit which is ducted with 7 supplies and walk mounted T-stat. Whats the best unit to replace it with

To determine the best replacement for your Dometic unit you'll first need to figure out the BTU rating and the connector style for the rooftop unit's wire harness. To find the BTU rating you can remove the shroud of the rooftop unit and there will typically be a label with the model/serial number with the BTU rating listed on it. To determine the connector style you'll need to remove the cover of the air distribution box and look for the wire harness that hangs down from the rooftop unit and plugs into the controller. It could have a 6-pin or 9-pin connector (pictured below).

Depending on the connector style I have the following recommendations:

6-pin:
13,500BTU # FR26PR
15,000BTU # FR58PR

9-pin:
13,500BTU # FR82PV
15,000BTU # FR42PV
