Do Solaris slide topper tension springs need to be counter rotating?

When setting the tension for your Solera RV Slide-Out Awning # LCV000163285 you would need to roll the spring/roller tube upwards towards the body of the trailer 12 - 16 times. When looking at it from the right side of the roller tube it would be clockwise.
