Im looking for rear suspention air bags kit for a 2024 f250 with on board scales.

Hello Merle, thanks for reaching out. So we do have an air bag kit that will fit your2024 Ford F250 with the onboard scales, and for that I recommend the Firestone Ride Rite # F35FV.

Keep in mind though that the onboard scale basically works by measuring how much the truck is squatting, and gives you a weight based on that. The air bags will prevent the rear from sagging, so the scale reading would not be accurate. You can lower the air pressure in the bags to a minimum of 5 PSI which would help the scale to be more accurate if you need a reading.

I also recommend adding an onboard compressor so you can monitor and fill the bags on the go. For that I recommend the following:

Jesse, I have a Ford F350 with onboard scales, etc. Also have up fitter switches. New camper is a fifth wheel - 2000 lb tongue weight / 14000 GVWR. I plan to get the Firestone Ride Rites (F35FV) and the Air Command compressor (F29VV). 1) Given my application - is this the right combination of air bags and compressor? 2) Can the compressor be linked up and powered via my up fitter switches, or does it tie in to the electrical system differently?

@MichaelG Hey Michael, great setup you’re planning, that’s an excellent combo for your F350 and fifth wheel. The Firestone Ride-Rite # F35FV and Air Command compressor # F29WV will work perfectly together for your load and towing capacity, so you’re right on track there. As for wiring, you can power the compressor through one of your upfitter switches as long as the switch is rated for the current draw of the compressor.

Hey Jesse. I stumbled upon these comments as I was researching this Ford onboard scale system that I have never heard of until now. Truly wishing I would have heard of it considering I just purchased a 2026 F250 with the high capacity tow package. His truck also now has the airlift Wireless one system on it. I am actually considering trading the truck in for one of them that has this system but thought of an alternative. With this airlift system, would it be possible to put an inline air gauge like that of what's on semi trucks? It seems to be the same concept but don't know if it would work on a pick up since the airbags on a semi truck are air suspension and on a pickup they are only helper springs. My thought was I could install a system such as the one from Blue Ink, you're the bags up to what they would be to level the bed of the pickup with my toy hauler, calibrate them at that and then when I hooked up to the toy hauler it should give the load rating.

@Curtis Hey, that's an interesting idea, but the Air Lift helper springs aren't designed to measure weight based on air pressure like the air suspension systems on semi trucks. Since the F-250 still uses its factory leaf springs to support part of the load, air pressure alone won't give you an accurate weight reading. Even if you calibrate it with your toy hauler, the reading can change depending on how the truck is loaded. If you're wanting to monitor your actual pin weight, I'd stick with a dedicated weighing system rather than trying to calculate it from the air bags.
