Does the Curt 16427-104 Rail and bracket kit work on the 2500 Diesel with the Reese R16 Slider hitch?

If your 2014 Dodge Ram 2500 Diesel has the factory 5th wheel towing prep package with the OEM pucks (or sockets) in the truck bed then you can use the Reese 5th Wheel Adapter that you referenced, part # RP30154. This works with both 6- and 8-foot beds. Please refer to the linked photo. This adapter serves as the equivalent of standard above-bed base rails and your Reese 16K Slider (or other industry-standard) hitch can mount directly to it without need for base rails.

If you Ram 2500 does not have the factory 5th wheel prep package (no pucks in the truck bed) then you can use the Curt Custom Fifth Wheel Installation Kit # C16427-104. This kit includes under-bed brackets that install without drilling into the vehicle frame, all required hardware and a set of industry-standard base rails that are also compatible with your Reese 16K slider. This kit has gloss-finish rails; if you prefer a more subtle carbide finish you can instead use kit # C16427-204 which is otherwise identical.
