Recommended 5th Wheel Hitch For A 2019 Toyota Tundra Crewmax 5.5' Bed

Question:

Looking for a 5th wheel hitch solution for a 2019 Toyota Tundra Crewmax 5.5 ft bed including sidewinder, fixed hitch or sliding? Lights wiring. What do I need.. Trailer is a KZ 2022Durango 301RLT.

With that short of a bed you'll have to used a fixed hitch along with a rotating hitch like the Reese Sidewinder or Lippert Turning Point or go with the A Demco Autoslide # DM8550040. This hitch has 22-1/2" of travel to give you the same amount of turning clearance that a rotating pin box would give you.

If you want to go with a fixed hitch and rotating pin box then I recommend the Reese 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # RP30047 along with the wedge kit # SWW-03 to lock the king pin into the jaws of the hitch.

For both of these hitches you'll need to first install some base rails like the Reese Quick-Install Custom Installation Kit w/ Base Rails for 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches # RP50084-58. These rails are custom-fit to reduce the need to drill into the frame and make the installation process faster and easier.

You'll also want to install an in-bed 7-way like the Pollak 5th Wheel / Gooseneck T-Connector with 7-Pole # PK11893-11932 to connect your trailer's 7-way to.
