Can a 2007 Volkswagen GTI Be Flat Towed?
Published 07/27/2023 >
Question:
We are interested in flat towing our 2007 VW GTI that has a manual transmission behind our 2017 Forest river 25 foot RV on a Mercedes sprinter chassis. What base plate and wiring kits are recommended? Thoughts on brakes, too, please? Thanks and in advance

I checked the owner's manual for your 2007 Volkswagen GTI and it actually states that this vehicle can not be flat towed. The only way this vehicle can be towed is via a car dolly like the Demco Kar Kaddy X Tow Dolly w/ Disc Brakes - Tilt Bed Frame # DM9713093.
Apart from that, the only other option would be to put it on a flat bed trailer and tow it that way.
